My name is Bob Gravelle, and BobG Woodworks began long before I ever gave it a name. It started in a small corner of my workshop in the Niagara Peninsula, with nothing more than a few rescued off-cuts of wood and a desire to create something meaningful with my hands.

I’ve always believed that wood has a story of its own, every grain, every knot, every curve shaped by time. My job is simply to listen to it and bring that story to life.

That’s why I source my wood locally or save new off-cut pieces from going to waste. What others see as scraps, I see as potential. Turning these forgotten pieces into something beautiful is one of the greatest joys of this craft.

When I create a piece meant for food, a cheese board, a tasting tray, or a food accessory, I finish it with food-safe, natural coatings. Custom orders take time, because I want each one to be right.

Four weeks for food-contact pieces, two weeks for everything else made with renewable, human- and pet-safe materials.

But the part I love most? Personalization.

Every engraving, every date, every name tells a story; your story. Whether it’s a wedding gift, a family keepsake, or a piece that celebrates your love for good cheese and good wine, I want it to reflect you. That’s why I welcome custom ideas, unique designs, and special requests that don’t appear in my listings.
